Week 1: Basics and Beginner pattern
 
Knee Bounce: a - 2 - 3 - 4
Hip Bounce: non-weight-bearing leg,
no shoulder bounce - lower abdominal muscles pull hip UP
Toe Bounce: Press off floor with non-weight-bearing leg
 
1) Basic Pattern
4 Basic Steps (Left foot forward - Right foot back) a1 & 2 - a3 & 4 - a5 & 6 - a7 & 8
4 Whisk (to Left & to Right) a1 & 2 - a3 & 4 - a5 & 6 - a7 & 8
 
Week 2: Double Bounce and Samba Walks
 
Review knee-hip-toe bounce
Samba walk with couble bounce action
 
2) 3 Open Samba Walks 1 & 2 - 3 & 4 - 5 & 6
Side Samba Walks
(Option: to Close Position - repeat from 1)
7 & 8
 
Week 3: Criss Cross Bota Fogo and Volta
 
Review knee-hip-toe bounce in basic action, whisk and walks
Bota Fogo action, turning corner to corner
Volta action (no hip bounce)
Always place foot directly under body weight on the main beat.

(Lady passing in front of Man)

(curving towards partner)

6) 3 Whisk (2 hand hold) 1 & 2 - 3 & 4 - 5 & 6
Lady - spot turn to left to Cuddle position 7 & 8

Rolling off the arm 1 & 2 - 3 & 4
