Slow Fotrot (Mar/Apr 2019)

Week 1: Basics and Beginner pattern
 
Swing (body flight) moving forward and moving backward
 
Slow (lowered on bent knee)
"Iron" on one (when backing, open) ,
Step on two (forward on heel, backing toe-heel)

Quick - Quick (slight rise)
Forward: ball , ball-flat
Backing: toe-heel, toe-heel
3 - 4
 
Feather step: CBMP = contra body movement position.
on last step (4 = ball-flat) only, immediately return to normal position on (1).
 
1) Basic Pattern
Feather Step (right-left-right) Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step (left-right-left) Slow - Quick-Quick
 
Week 2: Review and applify everything from week 1
 
Week 3: Heel drag and a more advanced routine.
 
Natural Turn (starting left foot forward / right foot back) and
Reverse Turn (starting right foot forward / left foot back),
both with with Heel drag (when backing)
 
Slow Lowered, "Iron" on "1" (along line of movement),
Step on "2" while turning body a quarter turn (turn left for Natural, turn right for Reverse)
 
Quick Another quarter turn on "3"
Forward: Stepping around partner on ball (finish backing)
Backing: Heel drag to bring feet together and rise to ball (of the dragged foot)
 
Quick Stepping out ball-flat in direction of motion (keeping swing / body flight)
Original Forward partner is now Backing, while original Backing partner steps forward.
 
Start more advanced routine: (Long side, Impetus turning to short side.)
1) Feather Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Reverse Turn Slow - Quick-Quick
Feather Finish Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
2) Feather Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Natural Turn Slow - Quick-Quick
Closed Impetus Slow - Quick-Quick
Feather Finish Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
 
Week 4: Hover Cross - Telemark - Weave.
 
(Finish Short side, Telemark, Weave down next long side)
3) Feather Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Natural Hover Cross Slow - Quick-Quick
Open Telemark Slow - Quick-Quick (or Slow-Slow-Slow)
4) Weave from Promenade Slow-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
 
Week 5: Curved Feather - REverse Ronde, Reverse Swivel, Develope
 
(Finish Long side, line work in the corner)
5) Curved Feather Slow - Quick-Quick
Back outside Feather Slow - Quick-Quick
Feather Finish Slow - Quick-Quick
Three Step Slow - Quick-Quick
Feather Step Slow - Quick-Quick
6) Reverse Ronde Slow - Slow - Slow
Lady's Reverse Swivel to Develope Slow - Slow - Slow
Outside Hover to Promenade Position Slow - Quick-Quick
 
Week 6: Chasse - Change of Direction
 
(Final short side, Connect to beginnning)
7) Feather Ending Slow - Quick-Quick
Chasse to Right Slow - Quick-And-Quick
Weave ending Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick
Change of Direction Slow - Slow - Slow
